Do you sing in the shower?  Do you love belting out tunes in the car on a road trip?  Are you a karaoke fanatic?  Would you like to perform in the Orillia Jazz Festival this fall? Then the OSS Choir is for you!  The OSS Choir will rehearse Wednesdays at lunch in rm. 108 starting THIS WEEK!  Everyone is welcome, and absolutely no experience is necessary! New members are always welcome. Come and sing with us!  Questions?  Ask Ms. Christie.

Hey OSS, are you interested in fitness or working out, or are wanting to learn? Then come to the fitness centre on Wednesday September 13th at the start of lunch for an information meeting and permission forms. No prior knowledge needed and all levels welcome. See you there!

Attention all Senior Boys. If you are interested in playing Rugby 7's you need to come to a lunch meeting on Tuesday September 12th in room 341. That's Senior Boys interested in Rugby 7's, meeting at lunch on Tuesday.

Attention all XC Runners!  First practice is today after school!Make sure your Forms are completed on School Cash Online before you arrive.  We will meet in Room 237 to discuss the run route,  before our team stretch and take off!  Should be perfect temperature for our first run of the season…

Attention junior boys volleyball players: Your first tryout will be tomorrow, right after school. Please make sure your consent forms are completed on School Cash Online, prior to tryouts. Be changed and let's meet in the gym. See you tomorrow after school!

Hey all you hoopers!!  Just a reminder to any girls that have been trying out for basketball, or any that have just joined us or have missed the announcements, our last tryout is today at 2:35 in the gym until 4:00 pm.  Any issues find Mr. Young, Ms. Guthrie or Mrs. Kennedy.  Can't wait to see all the dunks today afterschool.  Go Hawks!!!

Wanting to get involved, get volunteer hours, have fun and help in the community?: then come to the first Students for Change meeting this Wednesday at lunch. Students for Change is a club dedicated to creating change around the school, in the community and worldwide. Everyone is welcome, see you Wednesday!

Attention all OSS students! Do you like to paint, collaborate and be creative with like minded artistic individuals?!

Mural club is the club for you!  We will be holding our first meeting/ info session Wednesday at the start of lunch in room 322. No experience needed! Just show up. See Ms Cooper-Wagner or Ms Dunn if you have any questions.

Yu-Gi-Oh card club begins today at the beginning of lunch in room 134 - across from the weight room.

Humans Understanding Gender and Sexuality (also known as HUGS) is having a brief meeting on today at lunch in room 309. We’re going to be gathering some information and deciding what day of the week we want to meet this year. If you can’t make it, make sure you get the link to the Google Form. HUGS is a group dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBT plus students to talk about their lives and other topics. If you are LGBT plus or an ally to the community, HUGS is an excellent way to meet new people, and spend a lunch break. See Ms. Weidmark, Ms. Beacock or Ms. Gauldie if you have any questions. 

 

 DECA, DECA, DECA...looking to stand out, build your public speaking skills, and meet new people???  Come to room 100 at lunch this Thursday and sign up for DECA.  We compete doing case studies and other business events.  Sign up for the team closes September 21st.  See you there!!

Aaniin Boozhoo all OSS youth, this Thursday September 14th will be a Welcoming and Feast in the OSS Library from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

There will be food, pipe ceremony and drumming.   All students and staff are welcome. There is to celebrate you !  our youth and welcome you back.
