Morning Announcements for March 9, 2023
Posted on 03/09/2023
The OSS wrestling team returned from the Provincial championship with some great results and a lot of prospect for the future. Rookie Ryan P. and Sam S. got valuable experience facing tough opponents and fought well pushing them hard but coming up short. Graydon A. and Sydney W. both had great tournaments picking up wins in their weight classes but falling short of podium positions. All wrestlers should be congratulated on a great season in one of the worlds oldest and toughest sports.

Any girls wishing to play slo pitch this year and have not yet signed up, please see Mr. or Mrs. Wylie by the end of this week for important information.

Members of the Band travelling to nationals are asked to pick up music for this group.

Good morning! Just a reminder to ALL Ms. Rita Pieniniemi's students to come to the library for Period 2 for our special guest today. Don't miss this opportunity.

Students for change is running a hygiene drive for the month of March! There is a donation table in the foyer. Some examples of items that we are looking for are shampoo, body wash and soap.
All donations will be going to green haven.
Green haven is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization which provides services including 24-hour safe emergency shelter; a crisis line; access to community resources; transportation; transitional housing support; and outreach for women and their dependent children who are experiencing abuse.
All donations are greatly appreciated!!

Hey OSS, do you have clothing you don’t wear anymore? The Sustainable Orillia Youth Council is running a clothing swap and are accepting lightly used and clean clothing donations. This could include T-shirts, jeans, hoodies, etc.
Donations will be taken in the front foyer in the big donation bin and will be accepted all of this week. In the week following March break, the donated clothes will be available to browse and take home a new piece of clothing. When donating clothing please record your name on the sheet provided, because donators get first pick on the swap days.

Attention all Junior Concert Band members: this is a reminder that Junior Band rehearses today at the beginning of lunch.

Pajama Day is tomorrow, come dressed in your favourite pjs!
