Humans Understanding Gender and Sexuality (also known as HUGS) is having a special meeting today at lunch in room 309. HUGS is a group dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBT plus students to talk about their lives and other topics.

College and University visits are starting this week!
On Thursday, September 21 at 10:40 Ontario Tech University will be visiting our Guidance appointment, drop in Guidance to sign up.
Next week the University of Guelph and Lakehead University will be visiting.

The excitement of your fast approaching Post Secondary Pathway journey is now getting real!!
Be sure to stay organized and be on top of all things, so that you don’t have any last minute stresses.
Three exciting points of interest for you today are:
-Two of the five major provincial scholarship awards are now open.
Information and forms for the University of Toronto National Book Award, and for the Loran Scholars Foundations scholarship are now available in the Guidance Office. Due dates for these applications come fast. So don’t hesitate!
Also, starting next week, Mr. Scott will be coming around to all Period 5, Grade 12 classes to meet with the Gr 12s to explain the fast approaching College/Apprenticeship/ and University application process. He will be able to answer any questions that you, or your parents, may have and he will provide information as to dates and venues of seminars available to you.
-Be sure to sign up for any of the College or University information visits that will be held at our school over the next few weeks. Representatives will be visiting our school to answer your questions.
