 Women's Week is coming soon to OSS!

Next week, from Monday to Thursday we will be celebrating, acknowledging and supporting all women, girls, and the sacred feminine. Get ready for a powerful week of all things female!

Every day there will be information tables and special guests in the foyer. On Thursday, we will have a full day of powerful and inspirational guest female speakers.

When women start supporting each other incredible things happen. Stay tuned for more information on all the amazing things planned for next week. In the meantime, gals—remain beautiful and know that you are supported here.

ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS, PAINTERS AND CREATIVE PEOPLE! MURAL CLUB IS STARTING UP!
There is a large-scale mural that is going to be mounted in the main atrium of OSS. we need painters and artists to help with this fun project. Community service hours will be offered.
There is a sign up sheet outside of room 322. Please see Ms. Cooper-Wagner or Ms. Dunn if you have any questions.

A reminder to all boys trying out for baseball. Our tryout this week is Friday after school in the gym. Everyone will be there from 2:30 to 3:30, pitchers and catchers until 4:00. Any questions, please speak with Mr. Young, Mr. Burke or Mr. Elliott.Go Hawks!

Barie construction association is offering a bursary to female students pursuing an apprenticeship or post secondary school with a focus on skilled trades.Pick up an application in guidance.

Are you guys ready for a chess tournament? The chess tournament is right around cornner! it will be held in room 134 at lunch! See you at the chess tournament on March 29th in room 134!

HUGS is meeting today at lunch in room 309. It is very important for anyone interested in attending the April 14th Conference, to please come today to get permission forms. If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. Gauldie in the library or email one of the teachers. We also have information about Pride Prom. Looking forward to seeing you today at lunch in room 309.

Mino Ghizhep OSS students, special guest, Knowledge Holder, Dan Doctor is coming to OSS on April 4th, 2023, to provide traditional wampum teachings in the OSS library from 9:30am to 10:30am. This is a great opportunity to be part of and learn Indigenous knowledge.

Aaniin OSS students, a sacred fire is scheduled for Thursday April 6th, 2023, during the lunch hour from 10:40am to 11:40am to acknowlege the Spring Equinox. All are welcome ! Look forward to seeing you there.Chii Miigwech,

Boozhoo OSS students, interested in making a traditional hand drum ?
A Hand Drum workshop is scheduled for Thursday April 13th, 2023, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Please sign up in the Andaayang Room 222 as space is limited.

The students for change hygiene drive is still on until the end of march! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and continues to donate! The donation table is in the foyer. Some examples of items that we are looking for are shampoo, body wash and soap. All donations will be going to green haven. Green haven is a community-based, non-profit, charitable organization which provides services including 24-hour safe emergency shelter; a crisis line; access to community resources; transportation; transitional housing support; and outreach for women and their dependent children who are experiencing abuse
