The Junior Boys wrapped up their regular season last night with a strong performance against Twin Lakes. It was a fast-paced, high‑energy game filled with big rebounds, confident shooting, and tough defensive stands from the Hawks. The team controlled the pace from start to finish and earned a convincing win. With that victory, the Nighthawks secure 5th place heading into the playoffs next week. The boys are locked in, motivated, and ready to bring that same intensity into the postseason. Go Hawks Go

Did you know, in 2025, nearly 85,000 people in Ontario experienced homelessness, up 8 % from last year and 50 % higher than 2021, affecting families and youth.
For the next two weeks, Students for Change will be collecting hats, mitts, socks, and other warm clothes for the individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. As well, we are participating in the Coldest Night of the Year walk in support of the Lighthouse shelter. Please consider donating to our team to help make change possible in Orillia.
For any Grade 9, 10, and 11 students interested in writing the University of Waterloo math contests, they will take place on Wednesday, February 25 during period 1.

Yesterday, your Nighthawks girls' hockey team hosted the first annual Ladies' Lake Country Classic. Playing for the pink heart banner, the Nighthawks were lead in scoring by Isabella C. with an outstanding breakaway goal, a pair from Captain Carlee T, and a beautiful blue-line goal by Julianna V., her first of the season. The girls kept their heads high going into their final game against Twin Lakes, a true battle of the birds rematch. With goals from Emilia Z., Ellie S., Captain Carlee, and Isabella C., and outstanding performance from goaltender Irelyn M., the Nighthawks won 8-4, taking third place overall. Special thanks to our players who played with Twin in a true act of sports-womanship. A great final tournament, we will see you in the playoffs!

Today we are wrapping up our course changes in guidance. After today only pathway changes will be considered. Please make sure that you have completed any course work you may have missed if you were added to a class anytime after Monday. It is your responsibility to get caught up.
Grade 11’s – there is a scholarship opportunity you may be eligible for. Please check your email for details or come in to guidance to scan the QR code. The deadline to apply is March 31st.
Summer school registration is now open. Please check your email to fill out the google form to request a summer school course or make an appointment with your guidance counsellor.
Gardening club will meet today in room 303 at the beginning of lunch. Don't forget to bring your green thumbs with you! New members are always welcome.
Today's Dungeons and Dragons club meeting will be taking place in a new location, Room 308. Future D&D club meetings will all be moved to this new room. Also, after this week, we will be merging both Thursday and Friday groups into Thursday only. Again that's room 308 for the D&D club.
