There is an Alpine Ski Team meeting today at the start of lunch in room 335 about our race Wednesday at Mount St. Louis.
February is Black History Month in Canada, with the 2026 theme: “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow's Visionaries”. This month we recognize and highlight the contributions, resilience, and progress of Black Canadians.
Welcome to February! This month, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Black History Month in Canada. A time to celebrate the many contributions of Black people. Throughout this month, we will highlight trailblazers (innovators and leaders) who shaped history.
Starting tomorrow, each homeroom will get a Black History Month contest form to complete. Listen to the daily clues and snippets, to fill it out. The class with the most correct answers will win a PIZZA Party!
In addition, drop-in this Saturday Feb 7th, at the Orillia Library (36 Mississauga St W). There’s an “Underground Railroad presentation” from 2-4:30. Includes Storytelling, Music and other activities.
Wednesday in the gym, basketball is here for intramurals! It’s time to grab your friends, show your skills, and maybe break a few ankles — just not literally! Remember, you need your safety forms signed and to have purchased a student id card. We’ll see you in the gym Wednesday!
Welcome back students! The guidance office will be VERY busy this week.
We will be prioritizing our appointments to first serve students who are new to our school and those who have failed a course and need to adjust their timetable.
We will then look at the waitlists and lastly, those who want to change their elective classes. Please be in your scheduled classes so we can find you. We may also be meeting with students during the lunch break.
ALL course changes must happen by Friday of this week.
Also, if you are interested in signing up for summer school, please check your school email and fill out the google form.
