The student metal health team is looking for you! This club works together to promote mental health awareness here at OSS. We are looking for new members to be a part of this team and to lead us next year. We meet on Fridays at 11am in room 227. See Mrs Hacket or Mrs Young for more info.
The OSS wrestling team competed at the GBSSA championship yesterday finishing 2nd overall as a team. Scarlett B. had her best day as a wrestler finishing 1st in her weight class. Rookie Nate S. also had an amazing day claiming a 1st place finish as well. Experienced wrestlers Lilly H., Kartik C. and Ryan A. all claimed 1st in their divisions with solid performances. Owen H. and Urfan M. wrestled to a 2nd place finish and Declan V., coming off injury was able to find his form to qualify for the OFSAA championship. Great work by all athletes this year and good luck at OFSAA!

People experiencing homelessness in Orillia is rapidly growing and it is an issue that needs to be addressed. Orillia represents 21% of homelessness in Simcoe County and is the highest rate of homelessness in Orillia ever reported. Many cases of people experiencing homelessness are suffering from mental health issues, starvation, and drug abuse. Awareness is the first step of change!
