Last week, the OSS girls curling team made the long trek to Thunder Bay with Coach McGarrity and Coach Hewitt to compete at OFSAA. Despite being short a player, the team welcomed a spare from Thunder Bay. Each game they made some strong moves, played with skill and determination, and demonstrated integrity throughout the tournament. After a series of hard fought games, the team finished their OFSAA experience with a 2–2 record.
Although they did not advance to the quarterfinals, the team’s efforts and accomplishments at the provincial level are something they should be very proud of.
Congratulations to Kyle, Catelyn, and Genevieve for their outstanding efforts and commitment at OFSAA. A special thank you as well to Mrs. Waite for her additional support during the regular season. Well done, OSS curling!
