Yesterday, 60 Music students traveled to Midland to perform in the Georgian Bay Regional Musicfest. All three ensembles performed their very best and earned accolades from audience members, teachers and adjudicators. Their workshop clinics were constructive and enlightening. Ms. Christie is very proud to announce the results of each ensemble performance as follows: the OSS Junior Concert Band achieved a Silver Plus standing, Hawks Jazz achieved a Gold standing and the OSS Senior Concert Band also achieved a Gold standing. These results have earned all three ensembles an invitation to Musicfest Nationals. Congratulations to this wonderful and hard-working group of musicians. You earned it!

This is a reminder about the Horatio Alger scholarship for grade 11’s.
If you have plans to enter university, demonstrate financial need, maintain an average of 70% and are involved in co-curricular and community services, you may be eligible.
