The GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) is meeting today in room 332 at lunch. All are welcome!


People experiencing homelessness in Orillia is rapidly growing and it is an issue that needs to be addressed. Orillia represents 21% of homelessness in Simcoe County and is the highest rate of homelessness in Orillia ever reported. Many cases of people experiencing homelessness are suffering from mental health issues, starvation, and drug abuse. Awareness is the first step of change!

Please donate socks, hats, mittens, and warm clothes to our drive.  Or, please consider donating to our Coldest Night of the Year team as we strive to combat homelessness.


There is a short but important meeting for all members of the Nordic Ski team at the start of lunch in room 346.  That's all members of the Nordic Ski team, meeting today in room 346 at the start of lunch.


Meet Katherine Johnson, the “human calculator”, a brilliant NASA mathematician whose calculations were critical to the first U.S. manned spaceflights. Johnson not only worked on the trajectory of space flight but was vital in setting the trajectory for women in science and was an inspiring force in the civil rights movement. Her brilliance was captured and shared, in the 2016 movie, Hidden Figures.

Student Council will be selling Valentines Day goods in the front forum at lunch for the rest of the week.  Valentines with candy $0.25 each or 5 for $1.00, Flowers for $2.00 a stem, and Positive clips $0.75 each or 3 for $1.00.  Bring in your change and make someone smile!
