Gender-Based Violence is a very real, very prominent issue faced around the world and in Canada. We speak up about GBV issues for those who cannot.
For the 95% of all human trafficking cases that are identified as women and girls.
For the 61% of Indigenous women who have experienced sexual assault in their lives.
For the 44% of all women nationally who experience Gender-Based Violence.
We speak up for them because we can, we have a voice and we have a choice, so let's make the right one.

Congratulations to Madeleine H. and Isabelle N. who submitted art entries to the OSSTF Student Achievement Awards. Their entries finished in second place in Simcoe County. Although they will not be moving on to the provincial level, we would like to acknowledge their incredible hard work and talent.
The swim team meeting at lunch will be canceled today; however, swim practice in the pool will be at the recreation centre today at 2:45.

Dance team meets in the dance studio at the beginning of lunch today to showcase for the grade 8s. Please arrive wearing your black pants and grey hoodie/dance sweater. If time allows we can run it on the stage once before 11 am.
