Yesterday, the Jr boys football team finished the season with a playoff loss to Collingwood. Despite being tied at 7 by halftime, injuries and fatigue allowed Collingwood to pull away in the second half to seal the win. The coaches are proud of the effort and commitment displayed by the team this year and look forward to next season. Players are reminded to make sure that all equipment has been returned.
Attention Nighthawks, what do Roy Orbison’s Pretty Woman, and Metallica’s Master of Puppets have in common? Both have been selected multiple times for the song with the “best guitar”. The results of the OSS music survey will be shared in this year’s yearbook. Want to find out which staff prefer which song for karaoke? Want to know what songs inspire us on our drive to work? Want to know which Nickelback song is currently the favourite selection from our grade 12 class?
You can find out the answers to these and many more musical questions in the yearbook. They can be pre-ordered now through School cash online.
And if you would like to enter your own musical selections OR try to dethrone Nickelback and rewrite an ending that fits…you can do so by using the QR code on posters around the school, or the links and QR codes that have been shared with your teachers. But you need to hurry.
The survey closes next week and then it will be too late to see your picks in the yearbook, you’ll just find “the photo of the friend that you were looking for.”
Please, get in on the music survey.
Congratulations to the Sr. Boys Volleyball team in their 3-0 win against Nantyr. Good luck as they move on to the quarters against Collingwood. Go Nighthawks.
