Yesterday, the Jr Boys football team played their first home game of the season against Collingwood. In a back and forth affair, Collingwood took the early lead but OSS was able to score late in the first half on a touchdown catch from Ayelah B. and then capped a long drive to open the 3rd quarter with another touchdown catch from Chase M. but a missed extra point would prove costly. With a chance to score again in the 4th quarter the team came up half a yard short of the goal line and swung momentum back to collingwood whose converted touchdown gave them a one point lead. Despite a furious rally at the end of the game that saw the team move past midfield in under one minute, Eddie K's field goal was just short sealing the win for Collingwood. The coaches are proud of the teams resilience and effort and look forward to working to get better for next week's game vs North

Have you noticed the purple flowers blooming in the pollinator patch here at the school. They are New England Asters. They are very important for providing late season nectar and pollen for pollinators and provide food for butterfly, moths and some bird species. If you are interested in learning more about the plants here at our school, or just gardening in general, join us today at lunch in room 303 for Gardening Club! We meet every Friday!
