Our Terry Fox run is coming up on Sept 25 during your period 2 class! We have a ton of exciting things happening on Terry Fox day- Do you want to see Mr Hinsberger or Mrs. Luubert pied in the face on run day? Be sure to drop change in their jars in the office. We have 10 teachers to choose from and the 5 jars with the most cash on sept 25 will be pied by students on the field! Drop by the office after lunch to throw in your extra change after your tims run! Bring all donations collected to your period 2 class- highest fundraising class will win a class Tims party! Do you want to see 10 of our teachers race the track in inflatable Trex costumes? Then make sure we reach our school goal and bring in your donations to your period 2 teacher and help us continue Terry's mission here at OSS! 

Any Sr. Boy that is interested in participating in the upcoming golf season, come to a sign up meeting in room 134 at the very beginning of lunch today.    Don't delay.  That's Sr. Boys' Golfers meet Today at the very beginning of lunch in room 134

Tomorrow, Friday September 12, the University of Calgary will be visiting in the front foyer at 7:45 and in the Guidance Office for a presentation at 8.

 Next week Western University will be visiting Friday, September 19th.

 Drop into the Guidance Office to sign up!

Yesterday the junior girl's flag football team played in a tournament with Twin Lakes and PF.   The team defeated Twin Lakes 6 to nothing in the first game.  They really started to heat up though against PF with a solid 19 to nothing victory.  CITY CHAMPIONS!

 Shout out to Hollie T. and Livi W. with two interceptions each.  Next action is Tuesday against Maple Ridge.

This is a message for any Sr boys interested in playing Sevens Rugby this Fall. Come to an information meeting on Friday in room 346 at the start of lunch.  See Mr. Shami if you have any questions.

Yesterday, the senior girls flag football team opened their season with a pair of exhibition wins over Patrick Fogarty and Twin Lakes. Ava W. opened the scoring with a 20 yard touchdown catch and run and Emerson M. followed that up with a 30 yard score on the ground. Ava M. added a pick six on the way to an easy win.  in the second game Angelica D. put the nighthawks up late in the game with a touchdown and it took last second heroics on the old Hook and ladder with Lauren K. scoring from 60 yards out to seal the dea. great defence all day by Lila P., Kylie H. with multiple interceptions and Keira P.

Start raising money for our Terry Fox Run on Thursday September 25.  Period 2 teachers will be collecting money.  As we raise more money for Terry Fox there will be more fun incentives at our run.  Take a pledge form or raise money for OSS online.  Go Terry Go!
