Attention all girls in OSS.  The meeting for Ladies in the trades is now on Friday in room 212.  If you are interested in learning more about the trades, come to room 212 at the very beginning of lunch.

Reminder to those still trying out for Sr. Boys Volleyball. There is a tryout today after school.

If you are interested in playing recreational or competitive badminton, the OSS badminton club might be for you. 

 We will be meeting tomorrow in room 311 at the start of lunch to plan our year.

Calling Future Health Leaders! Interested in healthcare careers? Join HOSA – Future Health Professionals to gain leadership skills, compete in events, earn scholarships, and explore the global health community. Empower yourself through education, collaboration, and experience. Open to all grade levels!  Please join us at our first information session this Thursday at lunch in room 134. Please see Ms. Bolen if you have any questions.

Calling all students who are looking for a new athletic experience! OSS will be fielding its first competitive cheer team. If you have previous experience or are looking for something new to learn please come out to a quick meeting on Wednesday, September 10th at 10:45 in the dance room.

DECA, DECA, DECA...Our next DECA meeting is this Thursday at lunch in Room 215. Please note: the pre-screening test has been CANCELLED – so don’t miss your chance to join! Membership will be locked on September 25th, so come out this week and be part of the team!

Any girls interested in joining the OSS girls' golf team are asked to come to a meeting on Tuesday, September 9 in room 305. Please see Ms. Holder if you have questions.

 College & University visit begin this week in the Guidance Office. 

Wednesday, September 10 at 8:00 am Lakehead University will be visiting and on Friday morning the University of Calgary will be here.

It’s time to stop stringing us along and show us your love of the game! Are you ready to rally for the Senior Tennis Team?  We’re looking for ace level players in grades 11 and 12 who know their way around a baseline and aren’t afraid of a little friendly competition. Please come to room 342 at the TODAY at the beginning of lunch to sign up for Senior Tennis and find out practice dates and times from Mrs. Botman! The season is short but lets make it a smash hit!

Join the Gender and Sexuality Alliance every Wednesday at lunch in Room 332! It’s a safe, welcoming space for everyone—whether you're LGBTQ+, an ally, or just curious to learn more.

Come hang out, share ideas, and help make our school a place where everyone belongs.

Do you sing in the shower?  Do you love belting out tunes in the car on a road trip?  Are you a karaoke fanatic?  Would you like to perform in in a special Youth Concert at the Orillia Opera House this fall? Then the OSS Choir is for you!  The OSS Choir will rehearse Tuesdays at lunch in rm. 108 starting TOMORROW from 11-11:30. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is necessary! Come and sing with us!

Attention all Music students:  All Music ensemble rehearsals begin this week.  The rehearsal times for Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band, Hawks Jazz and Choir are posted on the music room doors.  If you missed the information meetings last week, don't worry — it's not too late to join!  See Ms. Christie with any questions.
