Morning Announcements for February 24, 2025

Course Selection Presentations will be finishing up this week and course selections are due by Friday! After Friday any changes to your selections need to be made through your guidance counsellor. When you make an appointment, be as specific as possible in your appointment request so changes can be made quickly.

Humans Understanding Gender and Sexuality (also known as HUGS) is meeting today in room 332. HUGS is a group dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for 2SLGBT plus students to talk about their lives and other topics.

Model UN meets again today ar lunch, in room 335. Today everyone will be learning what cou try they'll represent. See everyone there!

Congratulations to the members of the Nordic Ski Team who competed at the OFSAA championships last week in frozen Sudbury. The skiers posted some personal best times against the best high school skiers in the province. Maelle B. finished 59th out of 105 skiers in the Jr Girls High school category, Ava Shami finished 24th in the Jr Girls open race, Keiran P. finished 30th out of 120 in the Jr Boys High School category, and Daniel G. finished 62nd out of 133 in the Sr Boys High School race. The skiers should be proud of their performances and commended for how they represented our school.  Great job Nighthawks!

Math Hawks will meet today in Room 304 at lunch to work on February's challenge. Any new members are always welcome!

On Saturday, Students for Change participated in the Coldest Night of the Year.  A big shout out to Mila H., Kaileigh V. Paige H., Claire D., Lexa M., Mya S. Keira M., Annika H., and Hunter M. who raised $1500 for the Lighthouse shelter. Thank you for making a difference!
