It's Wednesday and that means it is a good day to paint.    Art club members are reminded that we are painting our banners and signs for the school, today at lunch in room 322.  New members are welcome.

Please excuse both the Sr. and Jr. Girls’ Volleyball teams today at 1:15pm for their matches at Nantyr Shores Secondary School.

Last night the Senior Boys Basketball team opened their season with a 15-point win over Bradford.  Caleb Clark lead the way at both ends of the floor shooting the ball exceptionally well and playing great defense.  Next action is Friday at Seneca College.

Free Food!! Free Food!! Free Food!!  Come to rooms 221 and 223 on Dec 7th at lunch and get a taste of international foods made by Ms. Carter's Food and Culture classes.  That's right!! Free International Food in Rooms 221 and 223 at lunch this Friday.

Last night the Junior Boys Basketball team started league play with a tough loss to Bradford.  The boys demonstrated some great stuff at both ends of the floor which is promising moving forward.  Liam Holmes lead the way with 10 points.  Next action is Monday vs Barrie North.

Do you know what is happening THIS Friday? That’s right, Orillia Secondary’s movie night part 2! Come out at 7 this Friday! Tickets cost 5$ and will be sold in the foyer at lunch today and tomorrow! Hope to see you there!

As well, OSS is starting their holiday food drive starting this Monday! Starting on Monday bring in any food donations OR toiletries to your home room teacher!

Black Friday? Cyber Monday? Nope, it’s Thrifty Thursday tomorrow at Nighthawks Closet. Tomorrow is your last chance to get those clothes you’ve been eyeing, as Nighthawks Closet will be closing down. Everything has been discounted to $0.25 so come on down tomorrow to celebrate one last day of shopping on your lunch break! 

Curling practice tonight after school for boys and girl’s teams in Orillia at Barnfield Rec Centre.

A huge thank you goes out to the staff and students who donated to the hats and mitts campaign. With the AMAZING support of Giant Tiger and your HUGE donation of 500 dollars we were able to purchase a thousand dollars’ worth of winter gear including much needed boots for the Orillia Youth Centre. 

Hey OSS are you interesting is watching the polar express, I repeat the polar express Friday night, we’ll come on down to the front foyer where your SAC will be selling tickets for only $5, this includes popcorn and a pop, don’t miss out as we will only be selling tickets today and Thursday.

Attention Senior English Students,

If you’re taking English this year and would like to be a part of the field trip to see Hamlet this Friday, see Mr. Newman or Mrs. Williamson in room 313 to get a permission form asap.

Junior Junior Junior Band meets today at 11am.  2nd last rehearsal until the concert.

Intermediate & Senior Stage Bands and Senior Concert Bands meet today regular times.  Please setup in the large music room.

Hunter Birch please come to the music room at lunch today.

Are you interested in politics, human rights and public speaking?  Then come sign up for the UN Simulation team.  The sign-up sheet will be outside room 337 or see Mrs. Young for more details.  Meeting will take place Tuesday’s at lunch once a month.
