All grade 11 & 12 students in the SHSM Health & Wellness program are asked to please stop by the Guidance office at some point today to pick up some important information.

We have an event coming up on Wednesday, December 12th.

Please see Mrs. Gagnon or Ms. Mavrou for more information.

Today there will be intramural girl’s volleyball in the gym at lunch! If you are interested, get changed and come down to the gym to play some volleyball.

Thank you to the students who submitted entries to the Marion Drysdale Achievement Awards competition.

Your work was amazing and made a very difficult task for the judges!

On behalf of the Excellence in Education Committee, we would like to congratulate the following OSS students:

  • Julianna Richardson’s Intermediate Visual & Media Art entry from Ms. Whytock's Art class
  • Vaidehi Patel's Senior Poetry & Prose entry from Mr. Newman's English

**Both Julianna and Vaidehi's entries will now move on to the Provincial Level of competition.  Best of luck to you both!

Co-op Job Fair:

All OSS students & classes are invited to the Co-op Job Fair on Wednesday, December 5th between 10:15 – 12:45

Come downstairs to the foyer outside the cafeteria to see the incredible displays our Co-op students have created, representing their amazing placements!

Check out some interesting career options!

See you there: Wed. Dec. 5th.

Last night the boy’s hockey team had their first match of the season.  The team lost 6-2 to the Collingwood Owls.  The first OSS goal was scored by Wyatt Mountain and assisted by Noah Mountain.  The second goal was scored by Lucas Di Mattia and assisted by Brock Thurlow and Ty Slemin.  Next action is Tuesday at Bear Creek.

Yesterday, the Varsity Girls Hockey team opened their season with a 7-2 victory over Barrie North.  Emma King made some key saves early in the game while our vastly outnumbered group of seven skaters weathered the early storm.  Erin Moriarty, Carly Davis and Avery Lovering scored twice each with Brynne McKellar adding a single and Isabella Fleugel notching a pair of helpers.

Members of the INTERMEDIATE CONCERT BAND are reminded of the guest coming in today to work with them during the last period of the day (Period 5).  Please get to the music room during break and be ready to play.  Professor Maddix is excited to be joining us today.

Musicians performing in the COLDWATER Santa Claus PARADE on Saturday are asked to MEET at the Coldwater Public school in the parking lot at 4:30 for setup.  Please leave cases with your parents.  Dress warmly and bring a blanket.  All musicians are responsible for getting their instrument to the meeting place.
