There will be a brief swim team announcement at the start of lunch today (FRIDAY) in room 125.  Please come and check in to see that you are ready to practice this weekend.

The Xcountry team had a successful race at Sunnidale Park yesterday with the Junior Girls dominating the field.  Olivia Karn and Audrey Reickenberg placed 5th and 7th place respectively with Gr 9 Hannah Kennedy who stepped up to race in the Gr 10 division placing 14th.  Midget boy Nolin Derstroff ran an impressive top 20 finish yet again. All team members are reminded of our practice today after school.

The senior football Hawks lost to Collingwood 20-6.  Shawn McManus scored the lone touchdown after a circus catch to set it up by Luke Sallows.  Josh Crate returned a blocked kick 55 yards.  Kaleb Bush and Nolan Felstead had interceptions.  Big hits from Matt Hepinstall and Jayden Brown.  Nathan Doyle had huge kicks.  Next home game is Thurs vs Innisdale Thursday.  Come on out!

Today the Music Department welcomes JUNO Award winner & Canadian Saxophone legend John Johnson.  The Intermediate & Senior Stage band members are reminded to be in their grey band shirts and assist with setup beginning at 11:30am

COME OUT TO HEAR OUR STAGE BANDS ON SATURDAY at the Geneva Event Centre — show starts at 2:00pm and admission is by donation.

On Monday, a rep from Georgian College will be here at lunchtime.

On Tuesday, a rep from the University of British Columbia will be here at 9:25 a.m.

Yesterday the senior girls flag football team defeated Eastview 24-0. Erin Moriarty threw for 3 TDs to Chloe Smith, Krystal Priddle and Jessica Goodwin. Goodwin also rushed for one TD while the defence was outstanding with interceptions from MJ Prefontaine and Olivia Lamarche.
