Hey OSS- today is Wellness Wednesday on a Thursday! Come join Mrs. Montgomery in room 227 at lunch to create a Vision Board. All supplies will be provided- the fun starts at 11:00. Feel free to bring your lunch!

Coco and Cram!

Attention all grade 9’s!

Next Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 you are invited to stay after school to help prepare for the upcoming evaluations.

There will be some teachers available to help answer questions and there will be Link Crew Leaders and senior students to help with study notes and preparing for exams.

And there will be hot chocolate!

See you then!

Girls - Free feel to improvise - you know the message we want to get across.

And now a message from Eco-schools:

Megan - Hey Haley, I grabbed you a Timmie's on my way in today.

Haley - Oh pass that over, you are my new BFF.   I need some caffeine after being up all night working through Ms. Stephens biology homework!

Megan -  Wait - not so fast.  First you have to promise you'll recycle properly.

Haley - Let me guess - lid goes in the blue bin, and the cup goes in the garbage at our school.

Megan - Got it in one girl - how did you get so smart?

Please remember to separate your Tim Horton Cup and Lids properly:)

The junior boys basketball team played first place Bear Creek Tuesday and demonstrated some great teamwork and sportsmanship against a very tough Bear Creek team. Wednesday they hosted Gravenhurst and were able to recover Gravenhurst's quick lead.  Awesome defence in the second quarter kept Gravenhurst to only 5 points that quarter. They were able to demonstrate high energy and easily crushed the full court press. Great job boys. Next action is 10am Friday at our Blackball tournament.

Last night the Senior Boys Basketball team continued their winning ways moving to 18-3 on their season with a convincing 96-30 win over Gravenhurst.  Ball movement and defensive focus were keys to the victory.  Next action is tomorrow at 2:30 in the opening round of Blackball.

We will be having our last meeting before Moratorium begins next week.  Please come to room 221 at the start of lunch. We will be planning our 'Coldest Night Walk' and plans for next semester!

Next Monday night the music department is holding a fundraiser at Boston Pizza. Come support us by having dinner between 5 and 8 p.m. Please book a reservation through Boston Pizza and tell them it is for the OSS Music Department.

Intermediate concert band meets today at lunch and students can pick up the Geneva Park information today as well.

Arts Night, featuring the work and sounds of Drama, Visual Arts, Dance and Music, will take place next Tuesday night, January 16 at 6 p.m. Come and check out the outstanding work of your classmates.

Last night our Junior Girls Volleyball team traveled to Eastview for our first game of 2018. They were in tough against a Wildcat team who hasn't lost a game all season. Our girls played strong but didn't have enough for the victory. Great games were had by Jamie Buck and Lauren Roote.
