The holiday season is a happy time, but not for everyone.  If you need support, here are some places you can call or go:

Mental Health:

Dial 211 (or visit www.211ontario.ca) – When you don’t know where to turn – Connects you with Social, Health & Community Services

Mental Health Crisis Line:  705-728-5044 (available 24 hour a day) or 1-888-893-8333

In a crisis situation, go to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. 

Community Mental Health Service:  705-327-9122

Distress Line Telecare:  705-325-9534

Kids Help Phone:  1-800-668-6868

Did you know that if you text Youthspace when you are feeling depressed or suicidal, a crisis worker will text you back immediately and continue to text with you?  If you don't like talking on the phone and would feel more comfortable texting, this free service is for anyone.

Youthspace: 778-783-0177 across Canada. Service available 6pm to midnight, daily.

Walk-In Clinics:

North Simcoe Muskoka Walk-In Counselling:  Mondays,  10:30 am – 4 pm, 169 Front Street South

New Path:  169 Front Street South, Wednesdays 11-7  (Families can access a New Path Walk-In Clinic each day of the week if they have transportation.  New Path Web Site has locations)
