Today is Ugly/festive sweater so make sure you send in photos on Instagram to oss.sac so we can see and share your festive looks.<br></p><p>Mutli-cultural Club:</p><p>Due to the popularity and awesomeness of this club, Multicultural club will be meeting today in room 330 at lunch at <strong>10:50. </strong>That's ten, fifty in room 330.</p><p>This late start to the meeting is to allow for everyone to <strong><em>finish</em></strong> their lunches <strong><em>BEFORE </em></strong>coming to the meeting.</p><p>If you are interested, please come join us as we celebrate the end of <span style="text-decoration:underline;">this </span>year, and say goodbye to one of our International students from Japan, Mei Kaneko!</p><p>New members are always welcome. <br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

There is a short but important meeting today at the start of lunch in rm 342.  That's all members of the Nordic ski team, meeting at the start of lunch today in room 342.<br></p><p>Hugs is meeting today in room 309. Everyone is welcome. <br></p><p>Yesterday Student Council hosted a hot chocolate day at lunch. Together we raised $314 dollars that will all be donated to the lighthouse. Way to go OSS! Ski Team Dry Land training and the Fitness club are cancelled after school today. <br></p><p>Listen up OSS!</p><p>Tomorrow is the last day to bring in toys for the OSS gift drive! Any board games, dolls, books, magazines and hygiene items are accepted. All donations go to the paediatric department at the local hospital. The time is now to donate OSS!<br></p><p>Today is day two of student's council festivity week. Today is flannel day. Remember that tomorrow is hot chocolate day. We are asking for a minimum donation of one dollar for hot chocolate with various festive toppings, and all proceeds will be donated to the lighthouse in support of Building Hope to fight youth homelessness. Come down to the foyer tomorrow at lunch to support a great cause and get some hot chocolate!<br></p><p>All students interested in ribbon skirts and shirts making are invited to room 221 at lunch! Looking forward to see you there! Make sure to give a gift by then, all donations go to the OSMH pedeatric department.<br></p><p>The Nighthawk's Closet second-hand store will be open for one final day today. Come to the store at lunch to find great deals on clothing and accessories. Treat yourself or find the perfect holiday gift! Items are no more than $3 each, so there are many deals to be had! <br></p><p>Today is the day, Book Club. We'll chat with author Mason Deaver, so be prompt in arriving to room 311 at the start of lunch. You can now receive 15% off at Pita Pit on Mississauga street when you show your student ID card. We now have 7 businesses in Orillia where you can receive a discount at. Check out our Instagram at oss.sac to see the other businesses. Want these deals but don't have an ID card? You can still purchase them in the main office for 10$.</p><p>Next week is our annual festivity week. Student council is hosting a bunch of fun events to get you into the holiday spirit. These events include winter hat day, flannel day, hot chocolate day, pj, day, and ugly sweater day. A reminder that Monday is winter hat day, so come to school wearing you favourite cozy hat.     <br></p><p>Multicultural club will be meeting today in room 330 at lunch. We will be playing games, eating our lunch and we'll discuss different cultural practices! We are very proud to announce that, with your help, we were able to raise $220 for The Orillia Youth Centre.  Great work Nighthawks! <br></p><p>OSS…did you know 84% of textiles end up in landfills and can take over 200 years to decompose. Textile waste is an environmental crisis but we can do our part to prevent these items from ending up as trash. All next week, Nighthawks Closet, OSS's very own vintage store, will be selling pre-loved clothing out of The Hawk Shop. Prices will range from $0.50 to $3 and all proceeds will be donated to Rainforest Conservation. This is a cash only event so we hope to see you Monday, change in hand! <br></p><p>Multicultural club will be meeting today in room 330 at lunch. Come and shop the great selection of pre-loved clothes at prices ranging from $0.50 to $3.  <br></p><p>Are you trying to shop local this holiday season?  It doesn't get much more local than OSS's own young entrepreneurs. Come down to the cafeteria today at lunch to shop the great selection of handmade gifts at the Holiday Market. All proceeds will be donated to the Orillia Youth Centre. This is a cash only event and all proceeds will be donated to The Orillia Youth centre. </p><p>Some of the vendors include:</p><p>Bloomers Bath Bombs: selling hand-crafted, scented bath bombs.</p><p>Locker Buddies: selling wreaths and stockings,  specially designed to decorate your locker for $2.50</p><p>And Edge: selling hand painted gift bags and tags.</p><p>Come on down and do some shopping while supporting a great cause. </p><p>Good morning, OSS.
